G: I am Tara Roslind, Head Girl of IJPS
G: The School head boy and head girl were elected by a true to life democratic election process. We used electronic voting machine, devised and perfected by two of our colleagues in Plus two classes. There were 4 candidates each for Head boy and Head girl contests. Results were available within minutes after closing the voting process.
G: In co-curricular activities too we are second to none. Roller-Scating, Chess, Karate, abacus and Yoga are practiced by quite a lot of students and we are encouraged to participate in competition outside the School. I am very happy to report that we do bring prizes. The physical training department is doing a good job. Our students gave a good account of themselves in Football and Athletics. Practice is being given to kho-kho and table tennis. The Annual Sports day was conducted gracefully on 8th December 2016. Apart from the School youth Festival our Art and Cultural performers took part in Interschool Competitions. The School has provided competent persons to help those who are interested in pursuing co-curricular activities.
G: Various competitive Scholarship exams are given to us at regular intervals to sustain our spirits and enhance our knowledge from outside our text books. The award ceremony hosted by the School PTA to honour the leading performers in the Board Exam was excellent. The covetable prizes and awards would definitely encourage those who are waiting in their wings to face the Board Exams this academic year.
G:We conclude this report with a prayer to Infant Jesus to lead the School to the path of truth and righteouseness to achieve great success in the coming years and may God be glorified
B : I am Kevin Joseph D Almeida, Head Boy of IJPS.
B: Our KG Fest was held on Nov.23 in the School auditorium in the presence of a large audience who left with sweet memories in their hearts about the colourful performance of our kids. Observance of special days such as Environment day, World music day, Hindi day, Keralapiravi etc was done by related speeches by students in the morning assembly. Malayalam Department put up an exquisite program in connection with the Kerala piravi.
B: The various awareness programs given to us against drug and cell phone abuses go a long way to discourage anyone among us in getting away from the path of right living. The lessons in Moral studies are doing immense good in showing us the path of righteous living. Regular computer classes enhance our awareness in the up-to-date use of computers. The smart class room, audio-visual room, language room etc help us learn better all subjects at all levels.
B: ‘Charity begins at home’ – says the old proverb. Our school, we consider our second home. The message of Charity is given due importance among us to promote healthy living and the necessity of sharing our fortunes with the have-not around us. We collected 60,000 rupees for donating to the Help Page India. The outgoing students of Xth standard collected 70,000 rupees and donated to help a family looking for a miracle to recover from economic debacle due to unabated disease.
Charity boxes ‘kept in’ our classrooms encourage students at all levels to drop small donations at their own will and the collection finally goes to Homes of Charity, Old age Homes etc.
B: We are Thankful to our respected Principal and teachers for taking so much personal interest in our progressive achievements and well being. We are indebted to the School.
